Weekly Update - Ink For Iridescence Success & Contest Reminder
Hello everyone! Before I open my math textbook and work out a few surface area questions, I wanted to let you know of some exciting news!
We just completed the first live sessions of Ink For Iridescence (writing and art events to make a change). From planning and purchasing supplies to designing our standee, it was a momentous task! Remember, this initiative is completely run by youth!
Hosted at Vismaya Kalike centres in Hampi on January 28th and 29th, 2026—with the wonderful assistance of Sakhi Trust—the session was held for students from rural backgrounds aged 6–14. Our young creators explored the following themes:
- Ages 6–9: The World Around Me
- Ages 10–12: My Favourite Festival
- Ages 12–14: Republic Day
We selected winners in each category. These talented individuals received certificates and will be featured in our flagship issue!

The Blue Bell Review is collaborating with Phosphorescent Lit, a US-based magazine that also features youth (along with adults), for an Ekphrastic Challenge!! Submit a story or poem in response to the painting given, which was created by Aastha Pai, which is appearing in the flagship issue of The Blue Bell Review. This is a wonderful opportunity for you all to be published in two global platforms!
The deadline is the 21st of February.
As always, our general submissions are open for art, writing and multi-media. The editorial board is excited to review your submissions and feature the best ones in our flagship issue.
