As we enter 2026, and the second amazing month since the launch of Blue Bell Review, the Editorial Board is looking forward to reviewing your submissions.
The picture given above is by Havish Reddy, our editor of art, and it is a testament to what kind of work we are expecting from students. We want to see pieces that truly express something, that display your creativity and skill. Whether that is through writing, painting, sculpting or filmmaking, we love to see your pieces!

In other news, I am honoured to say that our Adult Advisory Board is coming together. We are thrilled that Dr Manju Dhoundiyal, a professional of great experience, knowledge and skill, has agreed to support us in our endeavour to make The Blue Bell Review a magazine that truly supports children.

Now, a creativity prompt to break the ice.
Write 100 random sentences, random lines of poetry, or draw 100 random shapes onto small squares of paper. Then, choose 2 sentences at random, one to begin and the other to end a story, and start writing! You can do the same with poetry. For your squares of art, your challenge is to include one of those in your next piece of artwork.
