Write the World
An online writing platform and community for teenagers (ages 13-19) from around the globe. They offer free monthly competitions in various genres (like poetry, fantasy, op-ed, etc.), provide writing prompts, and facilitate a peer-review environment where teens can receive and give feedback on their work.
Focus: Developing writing skills, critical thinking, and global citizenship through a supportive community and expert-judged competitions with cash prizes.
Society of Young Inklings
A non-profit organization dedicated to fostering creative writers, primarily through mentorship, workshops, and publishing opportunities. They offer online writing workshops, monthly creative writing sessions ("Spilling Ink"), and publishing programs where young writers (often ages 9-16) work one-on-one with a mentor to revise and publish their books.
Community: Members share their stories and poems on a platform called the "Inkwell" and connect in a "Writer's Room."
